Rovers battle to goalless draw

Doncaster Rovers battled to a goalless draw at play-off chasing Middlesbrough.

Doncaster were under pressure for most of the game but they battled to only their second clean sheet on the road this season.

Julio Arca came closest to scoring for the home side when he hit the outside of the post in the first half.

Doncaster once again felt an injustice from the Football League officials when Chris Brown looked like Seb Hines had brought him down inside the area but referee Darren Drysdale waved away the appeals.

Boro continued to be frustrated in the second half. Scott McDonald headed wide from close range and substitute Adam Hammill saw his effort hit the top of the crossbar as Doncaster held out for a goalless draw.

Nice to see Husband given a chance, brought on halfway through second half he showed a lot of promise, running with the ball and holding his own against the Boro defence.

Husband is very highly thought of. Definitely one to be coming through next season.
