Doncaster Rovers went down to their first defeat of the season to Crawley Town at the Keepmoat Stadium.

In a disappointing game, Crawley claimed the points with just three minutes remaining when Nick Ajose was on hand to finish following an initial effort from Josh Simpson.

Rovers had chances with Billy Paynter guilty of missing a couple of decent chances.

Martin Woods and David Cotterill also had chances but it was a disappointed performance after a good start to the season.

Doncaster:
Woods, Quinn, McCombe, R Jones, Spurr,Cotterill, Woods, Syers, Bennett, Paynter, Brown (Coppinger 64).

Subs not used:
Sullivan, Husband, Harper, Keegan, Blake

Crawley:

This is what I was expecting before the season started. I still think Rovers will struggle this season. Very small squad and some are nowhere near full fitness. Still dreading a few injuries.

Back to the drawing board. Be a hard game down at Yeovil next week and a certain J. Hayter will be wanting to prove something to Saunders
