Doncaster Rovers won a dramatic game at Prenton Park against table toppers Tranmere Rovers 2-1.

Doncaster took the lead early in the second half when Billy Paynter made it two goals in two games.

Tranmere bombarded the Doncaster goal and looked like they had earned a point when Jake Cassidy equalised with just three minutes remaining.

Iain Hume won the game for Doncaster in injury time when he scored against one of his former clubs to make it two wins in four days and move them into the play-off places.
