Rovers draw a blank

Doncaster Rovers missed the chance to go top of League One with a dour 0-0 draw with MK Dons at home.

The draw did lift Rovers above Tranmere but with Bournemouth winning at Crewe Alexandra, the south coast club have taken over at the top of the table.

In a game of few clear chances, the two best chances fell close to half time, with both sides guilty of missing great chances.

Jon Otsemobor missed the best chance for MK Dons when he headed over from close range when unmarked and at the other end, Billy Paynter blazed over from close range.

Rovers are next in action in front of the live Sky TV cameras next Monday when they make the trip to Crawley Town.
