Rovers battle to deserved point at Forest

Doncaster Rovers ground out an important point in their fight against relegation, in a 0-0 draw at play-off chasing Nottingham Forest.

Rovers came into the game on the back of back-to-back wins and they more than matched Forest.

Richie Wellens and James Coppinger both forced Karl Darlow into good saves in the first half and Mark Duffy saw his effort flash over the bar after cutting in from the right.

At the other end, Rovers on loan goalkeeper Sam Johnstone continues to show why Manchester United rate him so highly as he made a good save to deny Radoslaw Majewski and Paul Quinn cleared Simon Cox`s effort off the line in the follow up.

Jamaal Lascelles also went close for the home side as his header from close range cleared the crossbar.

In the second half, Billy Sharp saw his powerful header go just wide and James Husband forced Darlow into another good save, as Rovers looked keen on winning the game and not just settling for a point.

Majewski forced Johnstone into another superb save as the home side were also keen to claim the three points but in the end, they both had to settle for a point.
