Doncaster Hit Ebbsfleet For Six
Doncaster Rovers fought back from two goals down to hit non-league side Ebbsfleet United for six.
Two goals from Tommy Rowe and James Coppinger and one each from John Marquis and Jordan Houghton ensured Doncaster were not the victims of an FA Cup First Round upset.
A game that had everything you want to see in an FA Cup tie came to life ten minutes before half time.
Danny Kedwell fired the home side ahead from the penalty spot after Ian Lawlor had hauled down Chris Bush.
Luke Coulson doubled the lead for the home side just two minutes later when he found space down the Doncaster left and he fired past Lawlor.
The game changed dramatically in Doncaster`s favour in first half stoppage time. First Rowe turned in the box to fire home from close range and then Marquis poked home from close range after Rodney Kongolo had seen his shot saved.
Coppinger fired Doncaster ahead early in the second half when his deflected shot left Nathan Ashmore stranded in the Ebbsfleet goal.
Houghton netted Doncaster`s fourth from close range after good work from Matty Blair.
Any hope Ebbsfleet had of getting back into the game ended with ten minutes remaining when Bush was sent off for a second yellow card following a late tackle on Coppinger.
Coppinger then added a fifth from the penalty spot after Marquis had been tripped in the area.
Rowe completed the scoring with five minutes remaining when he fired home from the edge of the area.
