Rovers Ruffled By Ruffels
Doncaster Rovers conceded deep into injury time as they went down to a 1-0 defeat at Oxford United.
Josh Ruffels scored the only goal of the game from distance in the sixth minute of injury time to condemn Doncaster to defeat.
It was harsh on Doncaster, who had looked the most likely side to win in the second half.
Oxford went closest in the first half and Ian Lawlor did well to keep out a James Henry shot.
Oxford keeper Simon Eastwood denied both John Marquis and Tommy Rowe as they went into the break level.
Doncaster somehow failed to go ahead just before the hour mark when Rowe danced through the Oxford defence only to see his shot hit the post and run across the line before being cleared.
Rowe then forced Eastwood into a good save as they looked for an opener.
Oxford missed a great chance to break the deadlock with 11 minutes remaining when Jack Payne saw his penalty saved by Lawlor. It was possibly justice for Doncaster with the foul looking like it took place outside of the penalty area.
Doncaster hearts were broken though deep into stoppage time when Ruffels fired home from 25-yards.
